The new hottest pepper is the Naga Viper. It was created by crossing the three hottest chili pods known to man. The pepper was created by a British chili pepper farmer named Gerald Fowler. “It numbs your tongue, then burns all the way down,” he told the Daily Mail. “It can last an hour, and you just don’t want to talk to anyone or do anything.” It is strong enough to strip paint! It is rated 1,359,000 on the Scoville scale, which measures heat by the presence of the chemical compound capsaicin. Experts at Warwick University had observed the pepper and officially declared it the new hottest pepper. The previous hottest pepper was the Bhut Jolokia Pod. Could you believe eating a pepper this hot?? Next time you complain about eating spicy salsa just be thankful it is not made with this new hot chili pepper.
